About The Role The Markets and Treasury Financial Control team (MTFC) is critical to making this happen and is responsible for maintaining a robust control environment whilst producing financial reporting and analysis for the Markets and Treasury divisions. MTFC ensures the business is well managed from a financial and regulatory standpoint through the application of disciplined end-to-end trial balance control processes including but not limited to Balance Sheet (BS) & Profit/Loss (P&L) recognition and substantiation. The Financial Control Manager is a people leader and subject matter expert who will be responsible for leading the Credit, MDCOO and Capital Markets team in Manila within Markets and Treasury Finance. You will be supporting the team to deliver timely and accurate financial information and ensuring that all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations across the Business Units are adequately met. The role will be working together with Finance, Business and non-Business stakeholders as identified to ensure financial integrity is maintained and no issues identified. The successful candidate will also be nurturing a learning and proactive environment for staff. Continuously review end-to-end production and assess if further evolution and streamlining of processes are needed. The incumbent will be participating in strategic initiatives from a Markets and Treasury perspective and wider bank initiatives. Role Type: Permanent, Full-time Role Location: Solaris One Building, Makati City Work Hours: Day shift What will your day look like The Financial Control Manager will also be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Managing the end-to-end processes, ensuring well controlled and efficient process in compliance with MTFC and Group Finance guidelines
- Ensure timely delivery of quality and accurate reports through but not limited to review and approval of P&L reports, month end and other reporting processes performed by MTFC team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, legislation and regulations (Statutory and Regulatory)
- Consistently seek and identify process improvement or automation opportunities.
- Implements strategic initiatives and manages and assess risks on these initiatives
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with members of the MTFC team and stakeholders.
- Support timely remediation of any adverse audit findings
- Accountable for the growth and capability required for your team and promote opportunities for knowledge sharing and skill building
- Strong analytical and technical skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent business acumen and strong controls mindset
- Strong stakeholder and people management skills
- Demonstrated resiliency and leadership in a dynamic environment
