Cutting Technician

About the role We are seeking a skilled Cutting Technician to join our team at SYC Philippine Corporation. As a Cutting Technician, you will be responsible for operating cutting equipment to precisely cut and prepare materials for our fabrication and construction projects. This is a full-time role based in our Pasig City, Metro Manila facility. What you'll be doing Operate and maintain cutting equipment such as oxy-fuel, plasma, and laser cutters to cut a variety of metals and materials to specification Interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents to determine the optimal cutting patterns and techniques Measure, mark, and cut materials according to specified dimensions and tolerances Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance Collaborate with the fabrication and construction teams to ensure the timely delivery of cut materials Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols What we're looking for 3+ years of experience as a Cutting Technician or in a similar role within the trades and services industry Proficiency in operating a variety of cutting equipment, including oxy-fuel, plasma, and laser cutters Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills
