JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Motorcycle Mechanic

Department: Operations / Service Department

Work Location: Village Delapaz, Pasig City

Employment Status: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Motorcycle Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motorcycles to ensure their safe and efficient operation. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, replacing defective parts, and providing quality service to customers. The Motorcycle Mechanic is expected to maintain high standards of workmanship while ensuring compliance with safety procedures and company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Motorcycle Inspection and Diagnostics

• Conduct thorough inspections of motorcycles to identify mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
• Diagnose engine, transmission, suspension, brake, and electrical system problems.
• Utilize appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to determine root causes of defects.
• Prepare recommendations and repair estimates based on inspection findings.

Repair and Maintenance

• Perform preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, tune-ups, and periodic maintenance checks.
• Repair and replace defective motorcycle parts and components.
• Service and maintain motorcycle engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems.
• Perform tire replacement, wheel alignment, chain adjustment, and battery maintenance.
• Conduct final testing and quality checks after repairs.

Workshop and Equipment Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Report defective tools and equipment for repair or replacement.
• Follow workplace safety standards and operational procedures.

Documentation and Reporting

• Record repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
• Prepare service reports and work completion records.
• Monitor inventory usage and report spare parts requirements.
• Assist in maintaining service and maintenance records.

Customer Service

• Explain repair findings and recommendations to customers when necessary.
• Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers.
• Address customer concerns related to motorcycle repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate, Senior High School Graduate, or Vocational Course Graduate in Motorcycle/Automotive Technology or related field.
• NC II Certification in Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing or Automotive Servicing is an advantage.
• At least one (1) year of experience as a Motorcycle Mechanic is preferred.
• Knowledgeable in motorcycle engine repair, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with various motorcycle brands and models.
• Ability to use mechanical and diagnostic tools effectively.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work.
• Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily workshop-based with exposure to mechanical equipment, lubricants, and repair tools.
• May require lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and performing physically demanding tasks.
• May be required to work overtime depending on operational requirements.

Other Duties:

The Motorcycle Mechanic may be assigned additional duties and responsibilities related to motorcycle repair, maintenance, workshop operations, and customer service as may be required by management from time to time.
