VP of Projects (IT Consultancy)

VP of Projects Remote | Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Full-time Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Projects to lead our project management, coordination, and engineering teams. In this role, you will oversee the successful delivery of projects from design and quoting through execution while ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment and expertise in resource management and capacity planning. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Engineering teams
- Oversee project execution, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Manage quoting and design functions, including project scoping and cost estimates
- Drive resource allocation and capacity planning across teams
- Develop and implement project management best practices and process improvements
- Serve as a senior point of contact for clients and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate with leadership to align project goals with business objectives
- Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching and mentorship
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field (MBA/MS preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in project management leadership, ideally in MSP, IT Services, or Technology
- Proven experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment
- Experience with ConnectWise (CW PSA), ticketing, and service management tools
- Strong experience in resource management and capacity planning
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and project management tools (Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, CW PSA)
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
