Veterinarian

The Veterinarian is responsible for overseeing animal health, biosecurity, and welfare across contract-growing swine farms. This role develops and implements disease prevention and treatment programs, monitors farm health and production performance, responds to disease outbreaks, and ensures compliance with company standards and government regulations. The Veterinarian provides technical guidance to farm personnel and contract growers, manages veterinary resources, maintains accurate health records, and supports operational decisions that improve farm productivity, animal welfare, and business profitability. Responsibilities:

• Oversee biosecurity, animal health, and welfare programs across all contract-growing farms.
• Develop and implement vaccination, disease prevention, medication, and treatment protocols.
• Conduct regular farm audits and inspections to ensure compliance with biosecurity and health standards.
• Diagnose animal diseases and health conditions using observation, clinical assessment, and diagnostic results.
• Investigate disease outbreaks and implement effective control and containment measures.
• Monitor disease trends and conduct epidemiological assessments to identify risks and preventive actions.
• Lead disease surveillance, sampling, reporting, and compliance activities, including ASF and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical training and guidance to Production Officers, farm personnel, and contract growers.
• Manage the proper use and inventory of veterinary medicines and vaccines.
• Maintain accurate veterinary, treatment, mortality, morbidity, and production records.
• Coordinate with laboratories, suppliers, government agencies, and other stakeholders on animal health concerns.
• Support operational decisions that enhance productivity, animal welfare, and profitability.
• Monitor and analyze mortality and morbidity rates and recommend corrective actions.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with a valid PRC Veterinary License.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in commercial swine production, preferably in contract-growing operations.
• Strong knowledge of swine health management, biosecurity, disease prevention, and ASF control.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to drive a four-wheel vehicle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to prepare reports, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and understand basic financial concepts.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Ability to supervise personnel, enforce company policies, and achieve operational objectives.
