Hotel Accounting Officer (Makati City)

Job Description:

The Accounting Officer will be responsible for managing the hotel's day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting the finance department in maintaining strong internal controls. This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and hotel policies.

Job Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Above 3 years - experience in accounting; experience in the hospitality or hotel industry is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with hotel management systems is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Process invoices, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and ensure timely payments and collections.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
• Support external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Monitor daily cash flow and banking activities.
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and other departments for financial transactions.
• Ensure adherence to hotel financial policies and government regulations.
