Qualifications:

Must-Haves:

  • Outreach & Follow-Up Discipline – Proven ability to consistently follow up across channels (email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram) without letting leads go cold.
  • CRM Proficiency – Comfortable logging contacts, updating deal stages, and maintaining accurate records in a CRM (GoHighLevel, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Self-Starter Mentality – Proactive, ownership-driven, and comfortable working independently without constant oversight.
  • AI Tool Familiarity – Working knowledge of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) to research leads, draft outreach, and work smarter.
  • Figure-It-Out Attitude – Comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting quickly, and finding solutions independently.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • GoHighLevel (GHL) Experience – Familiarity with GHL for CRM and sales automation is a significant plus.
  • ⚙️ Sales Automation Know-How – Experience with N8N, Make.com, or Zapier to build outreach workflows is highly valued.
  • iPhone / iMessage Access – Preferred for multi-channel outreach via iMessage (WeAssist can provide one if needed).
  • SDR or Sales Background – Prior experience in sales development, cold outreach, or lead generation is a bonus.

Why Are They Hiring a Sales Development Representative?

Our CEO, Reef Colman, is on a mission to reshape the future of remote work and create life-changing opportunities for talented professionals around the world. As WeAssist scales its sales pipeline, Reef and the Executive Sales Assistant need a dedicated SDR who is the first human touchpoint for every prospect—someone who can prospect, cold call, run outreach campaigns, qualify leads, and pass ready-to-close opportunities through to the discovery call stage. This is a conversation-first, relationship-driven role where your energy and consistency directly fuel WeAssist's growth. You won't be pitching—you'll be starting genuine conversations with entrepreneurs and business owners, figuring out if there's a real need, and making sure the right people connect.

Responsibilities of the Sales Development Representative:

Your responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting & Lead List Building
  • Research and build targeted prospect lists of entrepreneurs and business owners using Apollo.io, LinkedIn, and other approved sources
  • Apply qualification filters: companies with 1–50 employees, decision-maker titles (Founder, CEO, Owner, Managing Director), in markets WeAssist serves
  • Add a minimum of 50–75 verified, relevant contacts to the pipeline per week
  • Maintain list hygiene — remove unqualified contacts and keep all data accurate in GHL
  • Cold Outreach & Campaign Execution
  • Conduct cold calls to business owners and decision-makers — this is the primary outreach channel (minimum 10–15 calls per day); the goal of every call is to start a genuine conversation, not pitch
  • Send cold outreach emails via the approved sending account (minimum 15–20 per day), following WeAssist's voice guidelines and approved templates
  • Execute LinkedIn outreach including connection requests (15–20/day) and direct messages (5–10/day) to existing connections
  • Conduct social media outreach via Instagram and other platforms where prospects are active
  • Launch at least one targeted niche or audience campaign per month from Month 2 onward — define the audience, build the list, personalize the angle, and run a multi-touch sequence
  • Submit campaign performance reports weekly and share A/B testing insights from Month 3 onward
  • Lead Qualification
  • Qualify every prospect before passing them forward using these criteria: has a specific role to delegate or hire for, is a decision-maker who can authorize a hire, has an active or near-term staffing need, is located in a market WeAssist serves (US, Canada, Australia, or Europe), and engaged genuinely in conversation
  • Only pass a lead once at least three of the five qualification criteria are met
  • For every qualified lead, log full details in GHL: full name, company, contact info, how the connection was made, what the prospect said about their need, availability preferences, and relevant context (industry, team size, prior outsourcing experience)
  • Follow-Up Cadence Management
  • Execute a structured follow-up cadence on every warm lead — no lead falls through the cracks
  • Follow a multi-touch timeline: Day 1 (first outreach), Day 3 (short follow-up with a different angle), Day 7 (value-add touch), Day 14 (low-pressure final touch), Day 30 (fresh re-engagement attempt), Day 60+ (warm nurture list for quarterly check-ins)
  • Manage all cadences inside GHL — every touchpoint must be logged on the same day it occurs
  • CRM Management (GHL)
  • Log every outreach touchpoint in GHL on the same day it occurs — no exceptions
  • Create and update contact cards for every prospect with full notes after each interaction
  • Tag contacts correctly by campaign, status, and lead stage
  • Keep pipeline stages current and move cards forward as leads progress
  • Flag stale contacts and re-engage or archive as needed
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Submit a written weekly outreach report every Friday covering: total outreach volume by channel, reply and response rates, leads qualified and passed, discovery calls booked, and any observations or recommendations
  • Track performance metrics across all channels to identify what's working and where to optimize
  • Participate in sales meetings and provide updates on pipeline activity
