What does a Graphic Technician do?

Sealed Air is looking for a skilled Graphic Technician to join our Imaging department. In this role, you will produce final plate making LEN files that meet APS and customer specifications in a timely manner to allow manufacturing to meet scheduled ship dates. You will also produce specialized proofs, including process print art proofs and Quality Assurance PDF files, as specified by the art department to provide customers and manufacturing personnel with an accurate proof of the art.

Why we need you?

• Create final digital plate-making files by utilizing all software applications as well as specialized proofs, including process arts proofs as needed. This includes minor repairs to incoming arts from the Art dept. Ensure that all final Plate files are trapped correctly to meet the customer’s approved art and manufacturing specifications and tolerances. Create a digital Quality Assurance PDF file. Inform the Art or Pre-Art team members if an art is found to contain a major or potential error that could result in a customer bag return. This may include undersized graphics, type size, line weight, non-scannable barcodes, etc.
• Navigate, research and modify information using SAP production management system and production tracking software.
• Create or modify arts in compliance with APS standards to maintain customer expectations if available and as high quantities of work in the Art department require it.

What we are looking for in you?

• Associates degree in graphic design or commercial art or equivalent experience
• 2 years’ experience in a Production Graphic Technician or similar role
• 2 years’ experience using Adobe Software Products (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), Flexographic printing, Esko Software (ArtPro, Automation Engine, Flex Proof, PDF Rip, etc.), color management, HD Flexo, and Equinox (Expanded Gamut printing), Adobe WorkFront application, preferred experience
