Senior Accountant (CPA - Hybrid)

This position provides cross-functional support across central and operational teams in a dynamic, fast-moving setting. It requires close collaboration with headquarters, regional offices, and multiple internal units such as human resources, procurement, finance, and risk-related functions.

Job Scope:

• Record financial transactions and reconcile account balances within the accounting system.
• Process payments and maintain organized documentation through structured filing and archiving.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for both head office and field offices.
• Review budget-to-actual reports and ensure timely submission of financial statements to meet internal and external deadlines.
• Develop and review budgets for proposals and ongoing project requirements.
• Assess financial forecasts to support planning and resource allocation.
• Participate in internal audits, external project audits, expenditure verifications, and organization-wide audit processes.
• Address audit findings and support implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with operational guidelines and partner requirements.
• Promote adherence to policies and implement controls to mitigate financial risk.
• Supervise accounting staff, delegate tasks, and provide training and mentorship.
• Conduct performance reviews and support professional development in alignment with HR policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to evolving priorities.

Job Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in accounting or auditing.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred; openness to assuming leadership responsibilities will be considered.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and proficiency across MS Office Suite.
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional attention to detail with proven problem-solving capabilities.
• Highly organized with effective time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work across cultures and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Strong communication skills; able to operate independently and thrive in fast-paced environment.
