A Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service. They operate cash registers, issue receipts, and assist with inquiries while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist with purchases.
- Operate cash registers and process payments (cash, credit, digital).
- Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Balance cash drawers and report discrepancies.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide basic product information.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Previous cashier or retail experience (preferred but not required).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
