Job Summary
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock movements, and ensuring that all inventory transactions are properly documented. The role supports warehouse and production operations by ensuring inventory accuracy, timely reporting, and compliance with company procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other warehouse stocks.
- Record all inventory transactions, including receipts, issuances, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts and assist in physical inventory activities.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare inventory reports and submit them to the Warehouse Supervisor or Management as required.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse personnel regarding stock availability and inventory concerns.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of inventory-related records.
- Monitor stock levels and report low, excess, slow-moving, or expired items.
- Assist in receiving and verifying deliveries against purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control policies, warehouse procedures, and company standards.
- Perform other inventory and warehouse-related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
- Graduate of any Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, or vocational course related to Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in inventory, warehouse, or stock control is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Able to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
- Honest, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in a warehouse and office environment.
- May require prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and carrying inventory items within company safety limits
- May be required to render overtime or work during inventory counts as needed.
