WE ARE HIRING: SAFETY OFFICER III (SO3)
Project-Based | 5–6 Months | Power Barge Relocation & Rehabilitation Project
We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer III (SO3) to join our team for the M4 & M6 Power Barge Relocation, Dry Docking, and Rehabilitation Project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements to ensure safe project operations and compliance with applicable occupational safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor the Project HSE Plan and site safety procedures.
- Conduct daily safety inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox meetings.
- Administer and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements among contractors and shipyard personnel.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and monitor corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, and HSE records.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness, fire safety, and environmental protection measures.
- Stop unsafe work that presents imminent danger and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an engineering, maritime, industrial technology, occupational safety or other relevant technical course. A licensed engineer is an advantage but not mandatory if the candidate otherwise meets the applicable OSH qualification requirements.
Safety qualification
- Qualified Safety Officer 2 or Safety Officer 3, with current applicable OSH training/certification.
- SO3 preferred.
- Valid COSH (Certificate of Occupational Safety and Health) certification from DOLE
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent advanced certification preferred
- Additional training in Construction/Industrial OSH desirable.
- First Aid/BLS desirable.
- Confined Space training.
- LOTO/Electrical Safety.
- Work-at-Height.
- Fire Safety/Fire Watch.
- HAZMAT/Chemical Safety.
- Incident Investigation.
- Emergency Response.
- SO2: 3–5 years relevant industrial/construction safety experience.
- SO3: 5+ years relevant HSE experience, preferably with supervisory responsibility.
Work Assignment:
- Project-based employment for approximately 5–6 months.
- One Safety Officer per barge
- Project locations include Navotas, shipyard/dry dock, and final destinations in Guimaras (M4) or Maribojoc, Bohol (M6).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting Salary: ₱45,000–₱60,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Transportation and Meal allowance, subject to company policy.
