- Maintain client records and ensure proper hygiene standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent (some may pursue art or design courses).
- Apprenticeship under an experienced tattoo artist (typically required).
- Strong artistic ability and drawing skills.
- Knowledge of tattooing techniques, ink, and sterilization procedures.
- Attention to detail and steady hands for precision work.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
- Licensing and certification (varies by state/country).
