Location: Taguig or Makati (should be amenable to either of the sites) Headcount: 23 Skill: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM Level: Mid to Senior Work arrangement: Hybrid (1-3x a week) Shift schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM MNL Contract duration: 1 year (Extendable) Open to undergrad Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team in the Philippines. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing mainframe applications and systems using various programming languages and tools. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in mainframe development and a strong understanding of the job market context in the Philippines. Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance mainframe applications and systems using COBOL, Assembler, JCL, CICS, DB2, and other programming languages and tools
- Design and implement solutions that meet business requirements and technical specifications
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers
- Collaborate with other teams, including business analysts, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure successful project delivery
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
- Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in mainframe development
- 3-17 years of experience in mainframe development
- Strong knowledge of COBOL, Assembler, JCL, CICS, DB2, and other mainframe programming languages and tools
- Experience working with mainframe systems such as z/OS, IMS, and VSAM
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
- Experience in banking industry is preferred
