IT Audit & Advisory Senior Associate

Role Description The IT Audit & Advisory Senior Associate is a full-time, hybrid role based in Makati, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The role is responsible for planning and executing IT audits, including assessing controls over information systems, applications, infrastructure, and data security. Daily tasks include evaluating IT risks, reviewing compliance with relevant standards and regulations, documenting findings, and preparing clear audit reports and recommendations. The Senior Associate will also support advisory engagements, such as IT risk assessments, process reviews, and control implementations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and guiding junior staff. The role involves direct interaction with clients to discuss observations, propose improvements, and help enhance their overall IT governance and security posture.

The Accounting IT Auditor is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of accounting and IT systems and controls within the organization. This role involves performing audits, evaluating risks, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of both accounting principles and IT systems.

• Key Responsibilities:Audit Planning and Execution: Develop and implement detailed audit plans focused on accounting and IT systems.
• Perform audits to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and accounting processes.
• Identify and assess risks associated with accounting systems and IT infrastructure.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards and IT regulations.
• Verify compliance with relevant regulations, such as the Philippines’ Republic Act No. 8792 (E-Commerce Act), Data Privacy Act of 2012, and relevant industry standards.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports that outline findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
• Present audit results and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Risk Management: Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of risk management processes related to accounting and IT systems.
• Identify vulnerabilities and suggest improvements to mitigate risks.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with accounting and IT teams to understand system functionalities and potential areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance on accounting and IT controls and best practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with developments in accounting practices, IT systems, and audit methodologies.
• Propose enhancements to audit processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
