- Background in operating heavy machinery specifically hydraulic excavators for earth moving activities.
- Operator will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the machine by performing routine maintenance checks and adhering to safety protocols.
- Operating the excavator to prepare sites for construction, as well as collaborating with site Engineers and other operators to ensure smooth workflow.
- Make adjustments to the excavator as needed. Communicate effectively with team members.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any issues. Follow project specifications and instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with other construction tasks as needed.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions. Operate other heavy machinery as required.
- Document work progress and any incidents.
- Has valid NCII certificate
- Has proven work experience for at least 1-2 years
- The job demands good physical fitness and stamina to withstand the demanding nature of the work.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity are crucial for controlling the heavy machinery with precision.
- A strong understanding of occupational safety and health protocols is paramount for safe operation on any work site.
