- Assist customers with purchases, provide recommendations, and answer inquiries about products.
- Organize and restock shelves, ensuring items are displayed neatly and are easily accessible.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify the store owner of low-stock or out-of-stock items.
- Handle basic cash transactions, provide accurate change, and maintain a clean cash register area.
- Keep the store clean and orderly, including sweeping, dusting, and tidying the workspace.
- Check product expiration dates and remove expired or damaged items from shelves.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, unpacking supplies, and organizing them in storage.
- Support in preparing items for sale, such as packaging goods or refilling dispensers.
- Ensure the security of the store by being vigilant and reporting any suspicious activity.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the store owner or manager.
- No formal education required; prior experience in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and coworkers.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle light to moderate lifting.
- Dependable, honest, and attentive to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the store’s operations and customer needs.
