Compliance Officer Incharge

Westernshore Nickel Corporation is looking for a qualified and experienced Compliance Officer-in-Charge to oversee compliance requirements and regulatory activities at our mining site in San Jose, Dinagat Islands.

JOB SUMMARY

The Compliance Officer-in-Charge will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the Company's compliance with applicable mining, environmental, safety, labor, and regulatory requirements. The position will coordinate with the Company's technical and administrative teams and assist in ensuring that all required permits, reports, documents, inspections, and regulatory submissions are properly maintained and submitted on time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in mining operations and compliance
• Strong knowledge of mining regulatory and compliance requirements
• Experience dealing with MGB, DENR, and other government regulatory agencies is an advantage
• Familiarity with mining permits, regulatory reports, environmental requirements, and site compliance documentation
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Detail-oriented and capable of monitoring multiple compliance requirements and deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
• Willing to be assigned and stay at the mining site
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor the Company's compliance with applicable mining and regulatory requirements Ensure timely preparation and submission of required permits, reports, applications, and compliance documents Coordinate with MGB, DENR, and other concerned government agencies regarding regulatory requirements Maintain an organized monitoring system for permits, licenses, certificates, reports, and compliance deadlines Monitor compliance with approved mining plans, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations Coordinate with the Mining, Safety, Environmental, and administrative teams regarding compliance concerns Assist during government inspections, audits, and site visits Identify compliance gaps and recommend appropriate corrective actions Monitor and follow up on pending compliance requirements and commitments Prepare regular compliance status reports for Management Ensure proper filing and maintenance of regulatory and compliance records Keep Management informed of new or updated regulatory requirements affecting mining operations Assist in implementing company policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance Perform other compliance-related duties as may be assigned by Management
