Mortgage Loan Processor

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor with strong experience in Australian residential mortgage processing and a solid understanding of lender submission and serviceability requirements. The ideal candidate will manage loan files from application through to settlement for a mortgage broking business. Experience with Salestrekker and an Australian aggregator platform such as Yellow Brick Road is essential, and exposure to asset finance is a bonus. Australian loan processing experience is essential.
Responsibilities:

• Process residential mortgage applications from initial fact find through to approval and settlement

• Assess PAYG and self-employed income, including financial statements, tax returns and ATO notices of assessment

• Complete serviceability calculations and identify suitable lender options for review by the broker

• Prepare complete, accurate loan files and supporting documentation for lender submission

• Lodge applications to lenders through the Yellow Brick Road aggregator platform

• Chase outstanding documents and information from clients, accountants and other parties

• Liaise with lenders, BDMs and credit assessors to resolve conditions and progress approvals

• Track applications, conditions and key dates through to settlement

• Maintain accurate client records, notes and pipeline updates in Salestrekker

• Assist with asset finance applications as required

• Ensure files meet lender, aggregator and responsible lending compliance requirements

• Provide regular status updates to the broker and clients

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification in Finance, Business or Mortgage Broking (such as a Certificate IV or Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking) is advantageous

• Mid to senior level loan processing experience within the Australian mortgage broking industry (mandatory)

• Strong experience assessing self-employed and PAYG income and serviceability (mandatory)

• Proven experience preparing loan files and lender submissions

• Hands-on experience with Salestrekker CRM (mandatory)

• Experience with the Yellow Brick Road aggregator or a similar Australian aggregator platform (mandatory)

• Experience with Connective is advantageous

• Asset finance processing experience is advantageous but not essential

• Sound understanding of Australian lender policies and responsible lending obligations

• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, lenders and internal teams
