Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Scan, weigh, and record items accurately
- Process payments using cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payment systems
- Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, or credits as needed
- Balance cash drawer and reconcile discrepancies at the beginning and end of shifts
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve basic complaints politely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
- Follow company policies, procedures, and security guidelines
- Assist with stocking shelves or other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least High School Graduate
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer‑facing role
- Strong knowledge of Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and transaction processing
