Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Garments / Apparel Merchandiser to oversee the complete merchandising lifecycle for apparel products. This role is responsible for managing buyer relationships, coordinating product development, and ensuring smooth execution of orders from sampling to shipment while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire order process from development to bulk production and final delivery
- Serve as the primary point of contact for buyers and clients
- Interpret tech packs, buyer requirements, and design specifications
- Coordinate with design, sampling, sourcing, production, and quality control teams
- Source fabrics, trims, and accessories while ensuring cost efficiency and quality
- Prepare detailed costing and pricing negotiations with buyers
- Monitor production timelines and ensure on-time shipment
- Ensure compliance with buyer standards, quality requirements, and ethical practices
- Identify and resolve production or supply chain issues proactively
- Maintain accurate documentation, order tracking, and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile
- Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in garments/apparel merchandising
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing, fabric types, and production processes
- Experience handling international buyers and export orders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with global apparel brands or retail chains
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., social, environmental, and quality audits)
- Familiarity with ERP or PLM systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
