Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant

Role Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Microsoft Business Central Functional Consultant to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will lead client implementation projects, gather business requirements, and configure the Dynamics 365 environment to optimize workflows. Your expertise will guide users through training and system adoption to ensure seamless operational transitions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead business requirements gathering sessions, analyze complex workflows, and document functional specifications for client business processes.
• Configure and set up Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Operations) to match client operational workflows.
• Map out "as-is" and "to-be" business processes and conduct gap analysis to identify necessary system customizations.
• Collaborate closely with the technical development team to explain functional designs and test custom modifications or integrations.
• Design and execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts to validate system configurations and stability.
• Deliver comprehensive training sessions to end-users and provide post-go-live functional support to ensure high system adoption.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Substantial experience as a Functional Consultant implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV.
• Strong core module knowledge, particularly in Finance/Accounting (GL, AP, AR), Inventory Management, or Manufacturing.
• Proven ability to write clear, structured functional requirement documents (FRD) and user guides.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to confidently manage stakeholder expectations.
• Exceptional analytical and consultative approach to solving complex operational challenges.

What Will Set You Apart:

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (MB-800).
• Experience with data migration tools and generating business insights using Power BI.
• Background in accounting or a CPA certification.
