JOB POSITION: BUTCHER Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in cutting, trimming, deboning, grinding, and preparing meats according to company and customer specifications. You will ensure high-quality products, maintain food safety standards, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, debone, tie, and grind meats (beef, pork, poultry, lamb, etc.)
- Prepare custom cuts and fulfill customer special orders
- Inspect meat products for quality, freshness, and proper rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
- Operate tools and equipment safely (knives, saws, grinders, slicers)
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Package, label, and display products attractively
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
- Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service
Requirements
- Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter (preferred)
- Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Ability to use cutting tools and equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and physical stamina
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Relevant certification (if required by local regulations)
