The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment and utensils. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe and hygienic food preparation environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, silverware, and cooking utensils by hand or using commercial dishwashers.
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, including stoves, ovens, refrigerators, and work surfaces.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and sinks.
- Collect and dispose of trash and garbage.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, such as peeling vegetables or washing produce.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or similar setting is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to cleanliness.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
