Materials Engineer

The Materials Engineer is responsible for ensuring that construction materials delivered to the project site comply with the required specifications, standards, and quality requirements. The Materials Engineer will also oversee the required material testing, coordinate with testing laboratories, and prepare documentation and reports needed for project quality control and billing support.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect all materials delivered to the project site to ensure compliance with the required specifications and quality standards
• Verify material quantities, specifications, and required supporting documents
• Identify and coordinate the necessary material testing requirements for the project
• Conduct or coordinate required material testing in accordance with project specifications
• Prepare material testing reports and documentation as required
• Maintain proper testing records and supporting documents for project billing purposes
• Prepare purchase requests for material testing requirements
• Coordinate with suppliers and relevant project personnel regarding material testing requirements
• Identify and coordinate with third-party testing laboratories when external testing is required
• Monitor the status and results of material testing
