About Program Mercury

Program Mercury is a large, multi-year, enterprise-wide process transformation that will replace more than 1400 EY business systems and related processes with an integrated, SAP centric platform that will standardize and harmonize activities throughout the organization and significantly improve how EY manages its business. About the Mercury Solution Support Center (MST)

As an organization jointly owned by the business and IT, the MST is a centralized and global organization which will provide operational support for the delivered Mercury solution and manage and support the Mercury user community. The MST will play an integral role in governance of the Mercury solution and the global template from both a business and IT perspective and will evolve to work closely with the business in enabling the benefit and value to be realized from the investment in Program Mercury and to set the furture direction and technology road map to support Vision 2020.

Technical integration management is one of the four core functions of the Mercury support Team and its key to Operational Stability function will provide an appropriately resourced and skilled organization that will:

• • accept the delivered Mercury solution from the Program and provide integrated, seamless functional and technical support
  • take accountability for the delivered Mercury solution and deliver services, in line with defined service targets, to the Mercury user community
  • act as the single point of contact for vendors delivering support services across the integrated Mercury application landscape
  • enable the Program Team to focus on the continued deployment of the global template and ongoing localization requirements.

Job Summary:

The BW and BOBJ support Specialist Manager will play a key role in the support reportings and analytics in BW  and BOBJ reporting based on associated technology solutions which leverage or integrate for SAP ECC, CRM, SRM, CLM, CPM and GRC. BW/HANA lead will work closely with the Technical Integration Manager and the process aligned Service Delivery Managers to provide specific, technical expertise regarding the integrated solution which is required to run each business process, including knowledge of the dependent and impacted applications and the associated inbound or outbound interfaces.

This role is to support Mercury multi generation SAP production maintenance and support of reporing and analytics assist application Technology leadership with the definition of reporting models and analysis required for each business process area, ensuring that both the functional and technical support teams have the required knowledge of the integrated reporting solution and how it is supported.

Incumbent in this role will receive and take ownership of the BW reporting and analytics artifacts and deliverables provided by program implementation team for support and maintenance, which will be defined by the program team, and will take the accountability for the end-to-end support of reporting in BW HANA  BOBJ, COFI analyzer systems including the monitoring, restart, recovery and house-keeping procedures.

Reporting analyst will assess the impact of changes to reporting solution and will provide challenge and validation of estimates provided by vendor and internal teams. Role will work closely with the SAP Product Experts, SDMs and the SAP AMS Support team to ensure that proposed solutions are 'supportable by design' and must consider the ongoing impact to support requirements and the ability to maintain system currency and integrity in line with agreed technical road maps.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Responsibility for the support of the reporting and analytics in Mercury solution support
• Responsibility for the support and proactive BW/HANA reporting  data feeds which send data to or from the core SAP applications
• Researching complex application integration and reporting issues with functional teams; examine integration between various systems (SAP and non-SAP) for inconsistencies, review transformation logic and propose corrective alternatives
• Utilizing knowledge of defined reference architectures, technology trends and implementation experience in order to translate business requirements into a solution blueprint that represents an end-to-end technical solution.
• Input to the definition of the solution road map, integrating multiple disparate processes, and addressing short and long term organizational needs
• Creation of detailed solution documentation and presentations
• Leveraging standard processes and architecting innovative solutions for timely execution within the agreed time lines and the cost
• Day-to-day maintenance of production application systems
• Ensures that changes to SAP are delivered in line with the business standards in terms of development and testing
• Ensures that changes to dependent applications are viable in SAP and do not cause a detrimental impact to production
• Retains in-house technical knowledge to validate and where appropriate challenge technical solutions and the associated cost hen delivered by external vendors.
• Solution design for integrating SAP products, identifying potential gaps and identifying possible solutions for bridging these gaps.
• Performance tuning of the integrated solution
• Leading integration activities during upgrades and major releases with multiple stakeholders
• Make informed judgments and take appropriate action regarding issues which may potentially impact the quality of services delivered via the MST
• Analyze requirements from the business and take appropriate steps to define action plans which are detailed, meaningful and set expectations appropriately with the business
• Analyze service performance based on data provided and interpret the data to determine the quality of the service – validate this against the user perception of the service
• Determine when it is appropriate to escalate and use judgement and experience and to determine the most effective course of action
• Working with implementation teams on program mercury for new deployments.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

• Experience handling highly critical and sensitive BW on HANA production issues.
• Experience with data tiering and sizing on BW on HANA optimization.
• Knowledge and experience with BW process chains fom ECC and CRM/C4C.
• Experinec with daily integration of ECC to BW to EDW systems for reporting.
• Experience working with Process Chains, Data Load Issue resolutions
• Experience working with performance tuning of the data loads
• Experience working with migration of BW to HANA database
• Experience working with ODSO, ADSO, Composite providers in BW on HANA and EDW layers
• Experience working with NetWeaver products
• Experience with SAP Business Intelligence and analysis tools (Webi and Analysis for Office)
• Experience with SAP mobile solutions and usability products
• Hands-on experience with data migration
• Hands on experience with Incident Management related to BW data issues

• Performance Tuning: Rollup, Collapse, Aggregates, Reconstruction, and Partitioning of Info Cubes, Indexes.

• Built complex WEBI reports by combining 3 OLAP universes using Merged Dimension

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of SAP BW/HANA/BOBJ experience gained through a combination of implementation projects and post go-live support
• Relevant functional experience for data extractions from source SAP systems to downstream systems

Certification Requirements:

• SAP certification preferred
