Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials
- Perform welding using techniques such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding
- Cut and shape metal using tools like grinders and cutting torches
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures for defects and ensure quality standards
- Repair and maintain metal structures, machinery, and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Measure and align parts accurately before welding
