Veterinarian (Batangas)

Responsibilities

• Oversee animal health, biosecurity, and welfare programs across all contract-growing farms.
• Develop and implement disease prevention, vaccination, medication, and treatment protocols.
• Conduct regular farm inspections to ensure compliance with biosecurity and animal welfare standards.
• Diagnose diseases and health concerns through observations, assessments, and diagnostic results.
• Analyze disease trends and outbreaks to identify risks and implement preventive measures.
• Lead disease investigation, containment, and control efforts during outbreak situations.
• Manage disease surveillance, sampling, reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and training to production teams, farm personnel, and contract growers.
• Monitor the proper use and inventory of veterinary medicines and vaccines.
• Maintain accurate health, treatment, and production records and prepare performance reports.
• Coordinate with laboratories, government agencies, suppliers, and other stakeholders on animal health matters.
• Support operational decisions to improve farm productivity, animal welfare, and profitability.
• Track and analyze mortality and morbidity rates to support disease management and continuous improvement.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree holder with a valid PRC Veterinary License.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in commercial swine production, preferably within contract-growing operations.
• Strong knowledge of swine health, disease management, biosecurity, production practices, and ASF prevention.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a four-wheel vehicle.
• Skilled in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical and operational challenges.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
• Knowledgeable in financial analysis, including ROI, IRR, cost-benefit analysis, and feasibility studies.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities, including performance supervision and disciplinary management.
• Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking skills.
• Able to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
