Work setup: We operate in a hybrid work environment, and we encourage applicants who are open to working in the office two days a weekto apply. 

Work schedule: Must be amenable to a shifting schedule, with earliest start times at 10:00 AM and latest start times at 4:00 PM (Manila time)

Employment type: Permanent

Location: Makati City, Metro Manila 

Pay range: Php 62,000 to Php 84,000

We are looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join our Manila Hosting Operations team. This role will be an opportunity for you to support and optimise cloud-based services by ensuring high availability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in a cloud-first environment.

What will you do as a Cloud Operations Engineer?  

Reporting to the Hosting Operations Lead, your accountabilities will include: 

• Ensure the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and availability of cloud services and environments 

• Manage incidents, alerts, and service requests, including provisioning and configuring cloud resources 

• Administer user access and permissions in line with security and compliance requirements 

• Perform approved system updates, upgrade, and troubleshoot operational issues with proper escalation 

• Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to maintain service stability and improve cloud operations

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?  

An ideal candidate has the following qualities: 
Essential:  

• Demonstrates proficiency in cloud operations and system administration (Wintel, Linux) within enterprise environments 

• Exhibits strong hands-on experience with AWSservices (EC2, S3, FSx, VPC, IAM) and cloud infrastructure management 

• Shows capability in incident management, troubleshooting, and IT service managementprocesses 

• Demonstrates effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders 

• Displays working knowledge of version control, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Codepractices  

• Shows ability to work with Cloudflareand Panzuracloud services 

• Demonstrates familiarity with Terraformor equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools 

Desirable:  

• Holds cloud and IT certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Terraform, ITIL)
