- Assist customers in selecting and weighing vegetables, answering inquiries about products.
- Restock and organize vegetables on display to ensure freshness and appeal.
- Inspect produce for quality, removing any damaged or spoiled items.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, providing change and issuing receipts when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness at the stand, including sweeping, wiping surfaces, and organizing the workspace.
- Help unload deliveries, organize inventory, and store produce properly.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items to the stand owner or manager.
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene practices when handling produce.
- Assist in setting up and packing up the stand before and after business hours.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the stand owner or supervisor.
- No formal education required; prior experience in retail or market settings is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and weighing produce.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift or move heavy items.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor for engaging with customers.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality produce and accurate transactions.
- Dependable, hardworking, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
