NetSuite Functional Consultant (EU & NExIL Specialist)

Work Arrangement / Work Shift: Part-Time / 8:00 PM - 12:00 MN

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Functional Consultant with a strong background in European localizations to lead the optimization and deployment of our NetSuite ERP across our EU subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will have specialized, hands-on experience with the NExIL SuiteApp to manage our Italian fiscal and accounting requirements.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between global corporate finance requirements and local EU tax compliance, ensuring our multi-subsidiary NetSuite OneWorld environment runs flawlessly.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• NExIL Configuration & Management: Lead the end-to-end setup, customization, and maintenance of the NExIL (NetSuite Extended Italian Localization) bundle.

• Italian Fiscal Compliance: Configure and oversee localized workflows within NExIL, including Italian Electronic Invoicing ( Fatturazione Elettronica ), Split Payments, Reverse Charges, and Self-Invoices.

• EU Tax & Reporting Setup: Set up and maintain NetSuite SuiteTax (or legacy tax engines) for EU compliance. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting for VAT, Intrastat, and EU OSS (One Stop Shop).

• Statutory Ledger Management: Configure NetSuite to generate compliant Italian statutory reports such as the Journal Ledger ( Libro Giornale ), VAT Registers ( Registri IVA ), and VAT Settlements ( Liquidazioni IVA ).

• Multi-Subsidiary Optimization: Optimize our NetSuite OneWorld environment for intercompany transactions, multi-currency consolidations, and localized chart of accounts across European entities.

• B usiness Analysis & Training: Work closely with European accounting teams to translate local legal requirements into NetSuite functional specifications. Provide targeted training on NExIL features to local finance users.

What You’ll Need:

• Experience: 4+ years of NetSuite Consulting experience, with a heavy emphasis on international rollouts and NetSuite OneWorld.

• NExIL Expertise: Proven track record of at least 1–2 successful NExIL setup and implementation cycles for Italian subsidiaries.

• EU Localization Knowledge: Deep functional understanding of European accounting standards, localized statutory reporting, and complex EU VAT mechanisms.

• Communication: Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate with global stakeholders. Proficiency in Italian or other European languages is highly advantageous.
  

What Will Set You Apart:

• Inventory & Fixed Assets (Preferred): Familiarity with NExIL’s localized inventory valuation methods (LIFO/Weighted Average) and localized Fixed Asset enhancements is a major plus.
