**Creative Video Editor (Strategic Production Partner)**
Location: Remote Melbourne-based Production Studio
Type: Part-time (20 Hours per Week )
Rate: **$9.00 USD per hour will increase after 3 -4 months**
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative **Video Editor** to join a growing production team led by a Melbourne-based Director and Producer. This isn't just a "task-taking" role; we are looking for a Strategic Partner who can take high-quality raw footage and transform it into a compelling narrative with minimal hand-holding.
You will be responsible for the core editing of approximately four large-scale projects per month, ensuring the creative vision is maintained from the first cut to the final delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**
* High-End Narrative Editing: Compile strong, engaging sequences from high-quality professional footage.
* Workflow Management: Manage file intake and organization via Google Drive and Adobe Creative Cloud.
* Collaborative Revisions: Use Frame.io to review director feedback and implement precise changes efficiently.
* Project Scaling: Handle diverse workloads, ranging from single 15-hour "hero" videos to batches of ten shorter social/related clips.
* Growth Potential: As the partnership evolves, there is the opportunity to expand your role into motion graphics, digital marketing, or SEO support.
**Required Technical Skills**
* Adobe Premiere Pro: Expert-level proficiency is a must.
* Frame.io: Experience with collaborative review platforms.
* Creative Comprehension: A strong ability to understand complex creative briefs and articulate your editing choices.
* Communication: A minimum of 70% English proficiency (must be able to clearly understand and follow detailed instructions).
**Preferred "Bonus" Skills**
* Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve for color grading.
* Experience with Motion Graphics and Animation.
* Graphic Design skills for thumbnail or asset creation.
