Inventory Lead

We’re looking for an experienced Inventory Lead to support our Supply Planning team and help ensure accurate, efficient and well-managed inventory across the business.
This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on reporting, analytics, inventory performance and stakeholder coordination . You’ll work closely with internal teams, compile and analyse inventory information, coordinate key inventory activities and help ensure the business has accurate information to support decision-making.
What you'll do
Prepare and manage weekly inventory reporting and provide regular updates on inventory performance.
Compile, analyse and maintain inventory data and information for reporting purposes.
Monitor inventory levels, trends and key performance indicators.
Identify inventory variances and investigate potential root causes.
Prepare reports and analysis to provide the business with visibility of its inventory position.
Coordinate the annual stocktake , working with relevant internal teams to ensure activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
Work closely with Supply Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Production and other internal teams on inventory-related matters.
Facilitate and participate in inventory meetings , presenting relevant reporting and insights to stakeholders.
Support monthly inventory meetings as part of the IBP/S&OP process.
Maintain accurate inventory information within relevant systems.
Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, reporting and ways of working.
Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to inventory management.
Share knowledge and provide support to Supply Planners and other team members as required.
What you'll bring
We’re looking for someone who is strong with numbers, reporting and systems and is comfortable working with different stakeholders across the business.
You’ll ideally have:
Experience in inventory management, supply planning or a related supply chain function .
Strong reporting and analytical skills .
Advanced Excel and data analysis capability.
Experience working with ERP systems , ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) .
The ability to work with large amounts of information and turn data into clear and useful reports.
Strong attention to detail and a focus on inventory accuracy.
Confidence communicating with internal stakeholders and working across different teams.
Experience running or facilitating meetings and presenting information to stakeholders.
Strong organisational and coordination skills.
Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Leadership, coaching or mentoring experience would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with data, reporting and systems , but also likes working with people.
You’ll need to be comfortable moving between analysing inventory data, preparing reports, coordinating activities and speaking with stakeholders to make sure everyone has the information they need.
