- Key Responsibilities:
- Hair Care:
- Cut, trim, style, and color hair based on client preferences.
- Perform hair treatments, such as conditioning or deep conditioning treatments.
- Provide hair extensions and other hair-related services.
- Skincare Services:
- Perform facials and other skin treatments to improve skin health and appearance.
- Provide advice on skincare routines and recommend products.
- Nail Care:
- Provide manicures, pedicures, and nail art.
- Apply acrylic or gel nails and ensure nail health.
- Makeup Application:
- Apply makeup for clients for various occasions, such as events, weddings, or photoshoots.
- Advise clients on makeup techniques and products that suit their skin type and personal style.
- Client Consultations:
- Assess clients' beauty needs and recommend treatments or products based on their preferences.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and provide personalized beauty advice.
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene:
- Ensure that workstations, tools, and equipment are clean and sanitized according to safety standards.
- Follow safety and hygiene guidelines to prevent contamination or infections.
- Product Sales:
- Sell beauty products, such as shampoos, skincare, makeup, and other beauty supplies to clients.
- Recommend beauty products based on clients' needs.
- Stay Updated with Trends:
- Keep up with the latest beauty trends, techniques, and product innovations.
- Attend workshops or training to improve skills and knowledge.

- Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- A formal cosmetology education or completion of a beauty school program is often required.
- Licensing/Certification:

- Certification in first aid and CPR may be a requirement in some locations.
- Experience:
- While entry-level beauticians may start with little experience, many employers prefer candidates who have practical experience gained through internships or part-time work.
