Safety Officer

METROTECH STEEL INDUSTRIES INC
- Ensures effective and efficient implementation of company rules and regulations, quality policies, systems and procedures, OSH Procedures, and safety plan of the project.
- Monitor project site compliance with standards and procedures promulgated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Bureau of Working Conditions, Health and Safety Division.
- Conduct Health and Safety Educational training / orientation for all levels at the project site.
- Conduct daily safety inspections in the workplace to ensure the protection of the workers and environment.
- Monitor project manpower.
- Stores, administer, and monitor first aid treatments on injuries, accidents and other health related illness.
- Conduct accident investigation, analyze and formulate recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct periodic safety walkthrough with the PM/PIC.
- Issue a stop-work order should he/she find the work potential to hazard condition or imminent danger.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree
- Relevant safety certifications or training, such as COSH/BOSH are preferred
- At least 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry
- Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to construction sites
- Strong communication skills
