- Perform various types of massages, such as Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology, or sports massage, based on client needs and preferences.
- Assess clients’ needs and areas of discomfort to customize the massage treatment.
- Explain available services and recommend appropriate treatments to clients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tranquil workspace, including sanitizing equipment and linens between sessions.
- Follow hygiene and safety protocols to ensure client comfort and safety.
- Provide aftercare advice, such as stretching exercises or relaxation techniques, to enhance treatment benefits.
- Handle client inquiries, appointments, and scheduling in a friendly and professional manner.
- Promote the shop’s services and products, such as essential oils or membership packages, to clients.
- Keep accurate records of treatments provided and client preferences for future reference.
- Report any issues or concerns regarding client health or equipment to the manager.
- Certification in massage therapy or a related field is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of various massage techniques and anatomy.
- Strong communication and listening skills to understand client needs and provide personalized service.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform massages for extended periods.
- Professional demeanor, maintaining confidentiality and respect for clients.
- Ability to work in a calm, client-centered manner, even in busy or stressful situations.
- Basic knowledge of health and wellness products is a plus.
- Prior experience in a spa or massage clinic is advantageous but not required for entry-level roles.
