Security Guard

- Surveillance and Monitoring: Observing and reporting suspicious activity through CCTV systems or physical patrols.
- Access Control: Checking identification, issuing badges, and managing the entry/exit of personnel and visitors.
- Emergency Response: Responding to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, such as medical emergencies or fire alarms, and taking appropriate actions.
- Reporting: Writing detailed reports on incidents, security breaches, or other noteworthy occurrences.
- Customer Service: Assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with safety-related inquiries or concerns.
- Preventative Measures: Enforcing safety policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is usually required.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old
- Background Check: Clean criminal record and the ability to pass background checks.
- Training and Certification: Depending on the location, some states or companies may require security guard training, including courses in security procedures, first aid.
- Physical Fitness: Security guards may need to pass a physical fitness test to ensure they can handle the demands of the job.
