Waiter

A Waiter (also known as a Server) is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking food and drink orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience for customers. They must be friendly, efficient, and have strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet customers promptly and warmly.
• Provide menus, answer questions about the menu, and offer recommendations.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
• Ensure that guests are satisfied with their food and beverages during their dining experience.

Serving:

• Serve food and drinks in a timely manner.
• Check in with customers during their meal to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle special requests and dietary restrictions with care.

Maintenance:

• Set up tables with clean linens, glassware, and utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them after guests leave.
• Assist in cleaning and restocking supplies as needed.

Billing and Payment:

• Present checks to customers and process payments.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and give correct change.

Team Collaboration:

• Work with other waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members to provide seamless service.

• Previous experience as a waiter or in customer service is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food and beverage offerings (or willingness to learn).
• Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays of food.
• Basic math skills for handling checks and payments.
