About the Hiring Company:
The Risk & Fraud Manager will be responsible for safeguarding the platform’s integrity and financial health. This role involves leading the strategy for fraud detection, risk mitigation, and account security. You will oversee the end-to-end KYC and account verification workflows, ensuring a balance between a seamless player experience and rigorous security protocols.

The ideal candidate must possess deep iGaming risk experience, specifically regarding PH online gaming fraud patterns (e.g., syndicate play, payment fraud, and referral abuse). You will be the primary authority on identifying AML indicators and bonus abuse, ensuring that all suspicious activity is addressed and escalated to Compliance with high precision.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Risk Strategy & Fraud Detection

• Fraud Framework Design: Develop and implement proactive strategies to detect and prevent iGaming risk factors, including multi-accounting, syndicate betting, and payment fraud.

• Bonus Abuse Mitigation: Monitor and optimize promotional risk levels by identifying and blocking bonus abuse patterns and exploitative player behaviors.

• Pattern Recognition: Lead deep-dive data analysis into player behaviors to identify emerging fraud patterns unique to the PH market.

2. KYC & Operational Oversight

• Workflow Management: Oversee the account verification and KYC (Know Your Customer) processes, ensuring high throughput without compromising security standards.

• Escalation Leadership: Act as the final internal decision-maker for high-risk account closures and serve as the primary liaison for compliance escalations and legal reporting.

• System Optimization: Evaluate and manage third-party fraud detection tools and verification services to improve automated detection rates.

3. Compliance & Reporting

• AML Monitoring: Manage the continuous monitoring of AML indicators, ensuring all suspicious transactions are documented and reported as per regulatory requirements.

• Risk Reporting: Develop and present regular risk assessments and fraud loss reports to the Head of Business Operations.

• Policy Development: Draft and update internal risk policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to stay ahead of evolving industry threats.

The Successful Candidate:

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminology, Finance, Business, or a related field.

• 5–7 years in Risk Management or Fraud Detection, specifically within the iGaming or Fintech industry.

• At least 3 years of experience managing a team of fraud analysts or verification specialists.

• Strong data analysis skills; proficiency in using risk management platforms and internal back-office tools.

• Essential understanding of KYC/AML regulations and typical PH online gaming fraud patterns.

• Professional Certification in Fraud Examination (CFE) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) is a significant advantage.

• Strong investigative mindset with the ability to clearly communicate risk findings to executive leadership.

• Must be authorized to work in the Philippines.
