Software Eng (Dev) III

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Software Engineer (Dev) to join our Philippines-based development team. This role will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of business-critical software solutions across multiple technology platforms. Working closely with engineers, QA, product stakeholders, and technical leaders, the successful candidate will participate throughout the software development lifecycle and help deliver high-quality software to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions primarily within our Java and Spring-based applications.
• Contribute to the ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and support of existing C++ (MFC) and C# applications.
• Develop and maintain SQL database objects, business rules, queries, and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to analyse requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Participate in software design discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Conduct peer code reviews and incorporate feedback from other team members.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve software defects and production issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation where required.
• Follow software engineering standards, development processes, and quality practices.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Commercial experience with Java and Spring Framework.
• Experience developing and maintaining SQL database solutions.
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies:

• C#
• C++ (MFC)

• Understanding of software design principles and object-oriented programming.
• Experience using source control systems such as Git.
• Experience participating in code reviews and collaborative development practices.
• Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance principles.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
