Engineer - Electrical Projects (2-year Fixed Term Contract)

Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

As a Engineer - Electrical Projects, you will Support the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and close-out. Work with engineering, construction, operations, and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required standards .

Key Responsibilities:

• Support electrical projects from design through commissioning and handover .
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and project teams.
• Manage project documentation, schedules, costs, risks, and progress .
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, technical, and quality standards .
• Coordinate shutdowns, switching, tie-ins, and cutover activities .
• Monitor procurement, contracts, and project deliverables .
• Conduct field inspections and support QA/QC activities .
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and energisation of electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate handover and close-out documentation .

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering .
• Registered Electrical Engineer with a valid PRC licence.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical project delivery.
• Knowledge of HV/MV power systems, electrical standards, and construction practices .
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings .
• Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills .
• Proficient in MS Office and working knowledge of MS Project .
• Heavy industry experience and project management
