We are seeking a passionate Wilder to manage and protect wilderness areas, guide outdoor expeditions, and promote environmental sustainability. The role involves hands-on conservation, wildlife monitoring, and educating the public about nature.
Responsibilities:
- Steward wilderness areas and ensure sustainable resource management.
- Lead outdoor expeditions, ensuring safety and educational value.
- Educate visitors on conservation, wildlife, and ecosystems.
- Maintain trails, campsites, and habitats.
- Respond to emergencies, providing first aid and evacuation as needed.
- Monitor wildlife and report on ecosystem health.
- Collaborate with conservation groups and local communities.
- 2+ years of experience in wilderness guiding or conservation.
- Knowledge of ecosystems, wildlife, and conservation practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and first aid skills.
- Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments.
- Wilderness First Aid (WFA) or Wilderness First Responder (WFR) preferred.
- Degree in Environmental Science or related field is a plus.
