- A Packer is a person responsible for packaging products, ensuring they are safely and securely prepared for shipment or storage. This job is typically found in manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution environments.
- Packaging Products: Packer prepares items for shipment by placing them in appropriate containers. This includes wrapping, sealing, and labeling products.
- Quality Control: Ensures that products meet company standards, checking for any damage or defects before packaging.
- Inventory Management: May assist in keeping track of packaged goods and ensuring that materials used for packaging are stocked.
- Safety: Follows safety protocols to prevent accidents, such as lifting heavy items properly and working in a clean, organized environment.
- Team Collaboration: Works alongside other team members, including quality control specialists, warehouse staff, and shipping personnel, to ensure smooth operations.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, move, and pack heavy products (depending on the industry).
- Attention to Detail: Must be able to check products for defects or damage and package them accurately.

- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with supervisors and other team members regarding inventory, quality issues, and packaging concerns.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle packaging materials and tools, like tape dispensers, scales, and box cutters.
- Experience: Experience in warehouse or factory work may be preferred but is not always required.
