Product Environmental Compliance - 2 yrs experience - Hybrid

REQUIREMENTS:

I. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Materials Engineering

II. WORK EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING

• Fresh graduates or 1-2 years’ experience on material compliance field
• Strong background on material compositions and properties of chemical compounds
• Able to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, Specifications and Material Data sheets.
• Proficient Google suite applications (Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Gdrive, Gslides etc.)
• Have a basic programming background, able to create macros on Google Apps script

III. SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex regulatory concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to collaborate and work effectively across multiple teams, including product development, design, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality.

• Well-developed analytical skills, articulate, innovative and confident.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and

deadlines. - Has very good presentation skill

- Flexible to work on any shift and in a blended work arrangement (work from home and on-site)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

MAIN DUTIES Material Data Collection and Management: ○ The Associate, Legal General is responsible for initiating and managing regular data collection campaigns to gather essential Material Data from InSinkErator's suppliers. This will involve performing in-depth data analysis and stringent validation of all supplier-submitted information. ○ The Associate, Legal General should have a working knowledge of part material breakdown, chemical compositions, and their interrelationships within various materials. This is needed for identifying potential compliance issues. The Associate, Legal General is expected to promptly report any instances of regulated or restricted chemical substances found within supplier Material Declarations to the Team Leader. ○ Furthermore, proficiency in interpreting Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and engineering drawings is required. The Associate, Legal General should be able to extract and apply relevant information from these documents to support the restricted substances analysis process. ○ Review Engineering Drawings and Material Specifications to create Full Material Declaration Boilerplate that contains an accurate breakdown of Homogenous Materials and Chemical Substances. ○ Design and create detailed environmental compliance trackers and dashboards for reporting highlighting compliance status, KPIs and key improvement areas. ○ Implement process improvements based on regulatory updates to ensure continuous compliance with environmental regulations.

• Collaborates with Commodity Managers to resolve supplier issues.
• Collaborates with the third-party project manager to manage the

environmental compliance tool by developing improvements, creating reports, and resolving issues.

Ad hoc: ○ Willing to take on high-impact responsibilities, including leading special projects and addressing urgent data analysis needs, while demonstrating strategic initiative, proactive problem-solving, and a strong sense of urgency in execution.
