- Safely transport goods to designated locations while adhering to delivery schedules.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and secure placement in the vehicle.
- Verify delivery documents, such as invoices and delivery notes, for accuracy.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, such as checking fuel, oil, and tire pressure.
- Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery updates or issues.
- Handle goods with care to avoid damage during transportation.
- Maintain delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel usage, and deliveries.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., van, truck).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role (preferred).
- Knowledge of local routes and ability to use GPS or navigation tools.
- Physical stamina for loading/unloading goods.
- Strong time-management skills and punctuality.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays.
