Artillery Philippines is a fast-growing startup art brand looking for 1 FULL-TIME WFH YouTube Scriptwriter under the Marketing Department for its Learn to Draw Manga brand. The goal of the Learn to Draw Manga channel is to generate and nurture leads for our Oneshot Manga Drawing Program. Who’s your manager? YouTube Team Lead Who’s on your team? You will be officially part of our international course business unit under the Marketing Department Job Responsibilities: Research trending topics in the manga creation niche (what aspiring mangakas are searching for, latest trends, common struggles, etc.). Attend mentoring sessions, coaching sessions, and student/mentor interviews to gather topic ideas and story angles. Write video scripts primarily for long-form YouTube videos. (approx. 10 - 15 minute videos). Must have fully approved 2-3 scripts per month Write scripts and copy for short-form videos (such as YouTube Shorts, Facebook & Instagram Reels, TikToks), video advertisements, social media posts Assist with email marketing copy and setup. Ensure scripts are engaging, story-driven, and aligned with the channel’s tone and audience. Collaborate closely with video editors Be ready for script revisions based on feedback from content strategists. Adjust scripts based on video performance data and audience feedback when necessary Additional Expectations: Ensure scripts help generate qualified leads (there are team incentives based on lead generation performance). Participate in content planning sessions (brainstorm topics, plan angles). Keep updated with LTDM program launches, student events, and relevant manga/anime industry news to integrate timely content. Required Qualifications/Skills: 1. Writing Skills Strong skills in storytelling, especially educational storytelling. Ability to write engaging hooks and punchy intros to grab attention fast. Ability to structure a video clearly: intro → build-up → key points → CTA/closing. Fluent in conversational English. Strong English writing skills. 2. Manga/Anime Knowledge Familiarity with manga, anime, and manga creation. . Ability to suggest visual ideas alongside the script (like "insert example sketch here" or "show manga panel example here"). Understanding of terms and processes like paneling, storyboarding, loglines, etc. Ideally, a genuine interest in manga/anime. 3. Research Skills Ability to find compelling topics related to manga, drawing, and the manga industry. Skills in turning student/mentor stories into relatable video ideas and scripts. Comfortable attending live sessions to pick up potential video material. 4. Team Collaboration Willingness to work closely with a video editor and the content strategist. Open to receiving feedback and doing script revisions. Ability to stick to schedules (2–3 scripts/month) and meet internal deadlines for drafts and revisions. 5. Content Strategy Awareness Understanding that the goal is not just content, but lead generation. Ability to embed CTAs (calls-to-action) naturally inside the script. Nice to have: Experience with SEO or keyword research for YouTube topics. Awareness of YouTube best practices Previous experience writing for YouTube channels, TikTok, or Instagram Reels.
