Workday Senior Engineer

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf on one of the world's renounced Academic Research Institute that provides learning and Education to people.

This role is based in Makati City and requires a hybrid work setup.

The Workday Senior Engineer is a key delivery role, within the People Solutions team - playing a leading role in designing and delivering the implementation of new functionalities, integrations and releases. The post holder will be a technical SME taking ownership for delivering technical solutions and HR system configuration to support our entire employee lifecycle, built around Workday as our core HCM.

Key Job Responsibilities :

• Leading and contributing to Workday projects, taking ownership for one or more functional areas, from design through to deployment, as part a project team.
• Develop and maintain subject-matter expertise on one of our key modules - to inform decisions and approaches taken by business stakeholders as well as project and BAU-support teams.
• Contribute to the HR Solutions delivery roadmap and engaging in and facilitating a regular development and release cycle.
• Use gap analysis to process and solution design to help advise and influence decisions of stakeholders.
• Contribute to thought leadership within the workday practice and proactively suggest areas for continuous improvement.
• Soliciting and challenging requirements, presenting and facilitating workshops, analysing data, and configuring solutions in Workday
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with the other application teams, infrastructure and service management, and the broader IT department.
• Work effectively with third-party suppliers to obtain additional resource and expertise as required for relevant projects and manage these suppliers to ensure effective delivery.
• Taking responsibility for development of one or more junior colleagues through career coaching and mentoring.

• Key relationships:
  • Direct reporting to the Technical Solution Owner and Delivery Manager - HR Solutions -
  • Within the company: Stakeholder base spans the entire organization, at all levels of seniority. Extremely high levels of engagement with HR.
  • Outside the company: 3rd party suppliers and support partners
• Develop and maintain subject-matter expertise on designated module(s) to inform decisions and approaches taken by business stakeholders as well as project and BAU-support teams.
• Will also use their knowledge of Workday configuration to advise on prerequisites for any new development requests and ensure that technical constraints are fully understood.
• Require close partnership with their HR Operations area, working with colleagues to implement continuous improvements in our HR Solutions application offering.

Key Job Qualifications :

• Workday HCM certified in addition to module specific certification.
• 5+ years of consulting experience or significant hands-on experience within an in-house Workday technical team.
• Will have strong experience of being a module SME for either HCM; Talent and Performance; Compensation and Benefits.
• Experience in driving workday functional design for a specific module area.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to both technical and non technical. audiences. The post-holder must be fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience with Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
• The ability to work independently and drive teams to deliver.
• Experience of working with both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
• The ability to listen to requirements and provide imaginative solutions to challenges.
