Your new role

As Commercial Effectiveness Manager , you will help turn strategy into execution by ensuring our field teams have the right customers, priorities, tools, insights, and incentives to succeed. You will lead initiatives across sales force effectiveness, performance management, CRM, and analytics, helping Novo Nordisk make better decisions and execute with greater precision in the market.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Drive sales force effectiveness by developing strategies, tools, and processes that improve customer coverage, field productivity, and execution excellence.
• Analyze commercial, market, and customer engagement data to identify opportunities, monitor performance, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Medical, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate business strategy into effective field execution.
• Lead initiatives related to customer segmentation, targeting, territory optimization, and frontline incentive design.
• Oversee CRM and commercial effectiveness tools, ensuring high adoption, data quality, and generation of actionable insights.
• Support commercial readiness, capability building, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen affiliate performance.
• Identify opportunities to leverage analytics, automation, and digital solutions to enhance decision-making and business outcomes.

Within this area, the Commercial Effectiveness team plays a pivotal role in ensuring our commercial organisation is equipped with the right insights, tools and strategies to outperform in an increasingly competitive landscape. You will join a team of ambitious, analytically minded colleagues who thrive on turning complexity into clarity and insight into action.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical capabilities with commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. You'll bring with you:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Finance, Life Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or Master's degree is an advantage.
• 3+ years' experience in Commercial Effectiveness, Sales Force Effectiveness, Sales Operations, Business Analytics, Commercial Excellence, or a related role within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or consulting industry.
• Experience in customer segmentation, targeting, territory alignment, field force deployment, or sales performance management.
• Experience designing, managing, or analyzing incentive programs and commercial performance metrics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in CRM platforms, business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and commercial analytics.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations and clear business stories for leadership and frontline teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across Sales, Marketing, Medical, Finance, HR/P&O, and regional teams.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to move from insight to execution and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with omnichannel customer engagement, CRM adoption, or digital enablement initiatives is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
