CAD Technician - BIM and ROAD

Job Responsibilities:

• Operates specific software programs, completes design drawings, and communicates with appropriate staff and other company personnel.
• Prepares all GIS CAD, TIS, traffic, and traffic control system designs and drawings.
• Generates a variety of design documents and proofs documents from rough draft copies under the direction of professional staff.
• Maintains filing as per document control procedures.
• Performs non-routine and complex drafting assignments requiring the application of standardized drawing techniques.
• Works independently under the direction of professional staff or supervisor.
• Generates design drawings, copies drawings, and creates documents using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Interacts and communicates with designers, project managers, and other company personnel; works effectively with clients, government agency representatives, and other individuals as necessary.
• Applies cooperative work skills, builds consensus, and contributes to company goals and values; is accountable for actions and work performed.
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing conditions. Treats others fairly and respectfully while maintaining a strong client focus.
• Follows the company’s design and drawing control quality procedures effectively.
• Performs special projects as assigned.
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality in the performance of job tasks.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Software or Civil Engineering / Certificate of Civil Draughtsman
• Knowledge of QCS 2014 Standards – Road & Infrastructure
• Proficient in Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
• Skilled in Autodesk Revit and other designing programs
• Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
