- Operate cash registers to process payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital transactions.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers.
- Greet customers and assist with inquiries or purchases.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout counter.
- Handle customer complaints or escalate them to the supervisor if necessary.
- Monitor and restock checkout supplies, such as bags or receipt paper.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage.
- Strong math and cash-handling skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
